Disasters come in many shapes and sizes and are not limited to the events seen on the evening news. Disaster can be personal where the effects of a planned on an unplanned event are limited to you, your family or your business.  Or it can affect a much broader area such as a neighborhood, a community, a city, state or region.  What is common to all disasters, no matter how big or small, is how they affect you. Are you prepared to deal with the effects of a natureal or man-made event?  Will your recover?  How long will it take to put your life back together? These questions along with many others are answered through effective Disaster Risk Management Planning.

Disaster Risk Management Planning incorporates an extensive assessment process to determine current threats and risk caused my natural or man-made events. During the assesment process various personal and community risk are identified and categorized in order to maximize the resources needed to protect all your personal and business asset.  Once these hazards are identified, an acceptable level risk is determined with the client and proper plans, resources and training is developed.  Disaster Risk Management Planning doesn't have to be expensive, it just has to be cost effective.
